Networking Essentials

This introductory course provides those new to computer networking the knowledge necessary to understand and identify tasks involved in supporting networks. It also provides an overview of networking concepts and how they're implemented.
This course prepares your CompTIA's Network+ exam.

IT Essentials I: PC Hardware & Software (A+)

This course prepares students to maintain computers. Students learn the functionality of hardware and software components. The hands-on activities and labs cover job-related tasks in the field of computer repair. This course helps students prepare for the CompTIA A+ certification.

 


Cisco Academy (CCNA Certification)

The CCNA is a four-semester course (one class per semester) which prepares students to install, configure and manipulate the components of small networks. Instruction includes networking terminology and standards, networking protocols, LAN and WAN configurations, the OSI model, cabling, routers and router programming, IP addressing and network topologies. Those who finish may enter employment and/or further education and training in networking.

Microsoft Academy (MCSA and MCSE Certification)

This course of study prepares students to attain the premium credential in the Information Technology field. Professionals with this credential analyze business requirements and deploy networks based on the Windows network operating system. This certification program is appropriate for systems engineers, technical support engineers, systems analysts, network analysts and technical consultants. Completion of the MCSE requirements demonstrates the skills necessary to lead organizations in the successful design, implementation and administration of the most advanced of the Microsoft Windows platforms.
