Careers: This web site is about helping you jump start your career.

High school: If you're in high school, there are programs available to you to jump start your career during your junior and senior year.

Past high school: Are you looking for a change in your career? Look at the programs offered through the Career Leaning System. Our goal is to provide adults with new opportunities in career fields they can study in Garden City Kansas. Some of our programs are accelerated, so you can get through fast and jump start your Career!

Middle school: If you're in seventh or eighth grade and beginning to explore careers, there are a variety of opportunities available for you to support your career for the future. We offer GEMS for seventh graders. GEMS is a hands on day focused on the importance of math, science and technology in today’s world of work.
Eighth graders in Finney County might consider jump starting their careers with a job shadowing experience. Or take an interest survey to begin looking at career clusters to see what careers might be of interest to you. Eighth graders also take the EXPLORE assessment and the results will include information on areas of interest that will help you begin to see the broad range of opportunities. Counselors will work with you on transitioning to high school to develop a plan so you get enrolled in courses that will take you where they want to go!.
