Today's cars are
smarter and more expensive than ever before, requiring
technicians
to gain training in science, math and computer
technology. Each year 30,000
new automotive technicians are needed across the
U.S. This demand for qualified service tech personnel
is driving up salaries, benefits and long-term
career
possibilities. Driving the demand are aging technicians
and new technology.
Employment Potential Job
opportunities are plentiful in the automotive service
industry. They include automotive technician,
service adviser, parts specialist, shop foreman,
service manager and others.
Instructors assist students
in job placement according to their particular
interests.
The U.S. Department of Labor indicates
that demand for automotive technicians will continue
to grow by 25% through the next few years due
to the increased number of motor vehicles on the
road.
